Help choose the new name for Grimsby Youth Zone

Grimsby Youth Zone Brand Vote

Young people from Grimsby are invited to cast their vote to help choose the new name and logo for Grimsby’s new OnSide Youth Zone. Two potential logos were designed by local young people and voting is now open for young Grimbarians to cast their vote and choose the winning logo.

Grimsby Youth Zone will be a state-of-the-art facility open young people aged 8-19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, 7 days a week. The youth charity aims to provide thousands of young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

For just 50p per visit, young people will have a choice of over 20 activities every night including indoor climbing, football, dance, drama, music, media, cooking, employability workshops and much more.

A group of young people from across Grimsby form the Youth Zone’s development group. The group meet regularly and are playing a key role in the development of the Youth Zone project.

Earlier this year, the development group worked in partnership with local design agency, SourceFour, to create potential names and logos for the new Youth Zone.

After completing a number of branding workshops, the group successfully designed two potential names and logos for Grimsby Youth Zone. The two options are Horizon Youth Zone or GY Youth Zone.

Development Group member Rachel said: “We’ve done our bit now it’s time for you to do your bit. Let’s bring Grimsby back to being great! Vote online to help choose the name for your Youth Zone”

Voting is now open in schools and online for young people from across Grimsby to cast their vote and choose the winning logo.

Voting closes on Friday 23rd October.
